I'm very impressed. Vickie you did a great job and I'm glad you are learning something that will be enjoyable for you.

Red is a very patient and caring person, and I believe she would be a good teacher.

Enjoy your stay Vickie.

I am glad you do have plans like that in the works. It would be priceless to see the kids faces light up when they see what they can do and how beautiful it can turn out. And with a teacher like you, I am positive you will have a classroom full of artist in no time once you start teaching them. Talk about a moral booster for those kids SmileSmile

RE: Vickie is painting yea....
Thank you guys for the nice comments. I'm so tickled with her teaching me to do this, and how nice it turned out. She is a great teacher, and I think my moral was boosted when I saw what I was able to do. When she gets to teach children this art, there will be some very happy kids. I am leaving for home this morning. I am very glad that I was able to visit 1 person from our forum family, eventually I want to meet more of y'all.
Have a great day.
Vickie

RE: Vickie is painting yea....
Good Morning all.... pooh and everyone else also, teaching, I believe, is the most rewarding job of all. I loved the teaching part of my job and then I taught for a nursing program community college in PA for about 4 years. The first time Alexia attended her oil painting class, she walked out so proud. Her mother was proud. Her father was proud. Then that year in school, she was in the 3rd grade, she got straight A's. Didn't even get one B for the entire year. I believe that was because the painting has boosted her confidence and willingness to explore and learn. Vickie mentioned this I think about having her confidence or moral boosted. So yes, i can't wait to teach kids, a classroom full, most likely not, but maybe no more than two at a time, yes. We will be living in a town of no more than 1000 people and near the school that I attended when I went to school. My grand daughter Victoria will be attending school there so I will do her birthday parties with different crafts ... that is the main reason I am going on a 3,000 mile trip to do crafts at Victorias Birthday Party. My daughter has rented the community center and we are going to do a scrapbook page, a jewelry or hair ribbon cabinet, and a flower pot. The kids and adults will have a craft to do. Of course, it is a perfect excuse to meet with Tuffy, Crabby, Spring, on my way out, and then go to Tulsa and meet everyone coming there also. i can hardly wait.. love you all.... Red
