RE: wont be able to make it to tulsa
You know I still have the form for light duty restrictions, and one is to get up and move around at least every 30minutes or so....and since I was terminated and while on light duty, and no medical treatment...that will be my excuse and I will either fax it over or drop it off to them think that will work? yeah tweety...admin hasn't answered...hmmm and I thought that was pretty cool with the jail being right on the water of lake michigan....I thought that would be an offer he couldn't refuse....

no where to hide

Crabby:
Years ago I was called for jury duty as well. This was shortly after the OJ trials, and seeing that worried me that this would also take months. When I first went, we all went into a room and had to draw numbers, then they took so many of us into the courtroom at a time to determine who would have to be in the jury.

The judge and attorneys for both sides were there. They explained what the case involved briefly and then asked the first question, which was does anyone have a valid excuse for wanting to be excused from being a member of this jury. There were several people who had reasons, such as unable to sit for long periods of time, and the judge asked if they had any proof or Dr.'s notes, these people passed the letters up to the judge and he released them from having to serve.

There were a few people that said that they took prescription medicine and that thier judgement and concentration would be affected by this, they too were released.

Then the lawyers got to ask each potential juror questions, and if they didn't want a certain one, that person would not have to serve. I ended up serving and remember it was only 3 very boring days. I think you have many reasons to be excluded, and will be able to go on your trip as planned.

Good luck
Vickie
