thanks all..... vicki that one sound good.....what I am looking for is ones that will use normal basic pantry items as I dont feel up to shopping.....And something someone has already fixed and its good....kids wont eat fancy they want plain food...I have lots of chicken.......broth,cream of mushroom and cream of chicken.....all kids of frozen and canned veggies....some fresh veggies and even bisquick.....lots of different noodles plenty of different spices.....tomato sauses and canned tomatos.... regular country kitchen items.....I am so darn tired of chicken......and in 3 weeks its time to butcher again.......

My mom is Pennsylvania dutch, so most of her cooking was very basic, not a whole lot of ingredients. She could make a great chicken pot pie on top of the stove in 1 pot, this was called slippery pot pie. Terrible name but was my childhood favorite. She would do like my crockpot recipe but roll out dough and cut it into squares and drop it into the boiling mixture. It would not be like dumplings but more like flat noodles. no you stink bug...I fell out of the motor home at church camp.......but I was really afraid you would have a crock pot cat recipe.......
