RE: A nice Little Surprise
mel, it sounds like a great day. It is so nice to know that your grandmother is doing better. I know your felt as special as you are when you saw what your friend did for you. Just sending a card was wonderful of your friend, but then to give you a certificate to your favorite restaurtant is very thoughtful of this friend. I am so glad that the tray arived and you like it. I know orignally you really wanted the christmas tray and won the santa tray, so I am so very glad that you are pleased with it. mel you deserve the best...now go and have a great supper.... love Red

RE: A nice Little Surprise
Thank you all we had a wonderfull dinner ...I felt like a million dollers today the best news was that my grandmother is doing good i thank you all again for your prayers and please keep her there for now...She is basically my world without her i dont know what i woould be or do...She has made me into the person i am today and for that i am thankfull....Even in her sick condition she is more worried about me and my pain..I told her today i feel wonderfull just knowing she is ok and has passeed through most of this...As for my friend at work she is a gem and actually believe it or not she knows the nightmare of worksmans comp because her husband was disabled from his job 7 years ago..Permant disability her has a lung disease from asbestos..Long story short he almost died 2 years ago but thankfully pulled through and belive it or not they just setlted 3 months ago after 7 long years and after almost loosing everything they had..But they made just like the rest of all of you survivors on here....So to me it was very special to get a card from her and the nice gift as it was much appreciated ..I needed a night out and really enjoyed myself....Welll thanks again And red the tray is wonderfull...I love it and so does my fiancee he couldnt belive that someone would send something over the internet without even knowing them from the goodness of there heart its amazing and thast why i cant wait to do the bingo to be able to give back a little thanks aagin red for all you did its a true gift you have and you are blessed and will always be special to my heart..Thanks again forum family for sticking with me in this time ...MEL

RE: A nice Little Surprise
mel...I am so excited that you sound so wonderfully happy and at peace with yourself right now. I am really glad about your grandmother, I know that mini stokes do not have to be serious, but you always have to watch so I am glad she is out of danger and will be getting back to her life soon. I am sure that you are as much a blessing to her and she is to you. I can't even imagine my life without my grand children, especially my Alexia. My Alexia and I are very close and have been for her whole life. I don't remember if I have shown any of her oil paintings since you have been on line, but she is turning into an excellent artist and piano player ...and when she grows up she wants to be a scientist and find a cure for MS. She is so in tuned to the world around her, it is sometimes amazing she is only 9 years old. The point is, I can really appreciate the relationship that you have with your grandmother as I cherish the one I have with Alexia and the other three..but as I said Alexia was my first and she is the oldest.

You can tell your fiance, that I love this forum and that before I started doing the BINGO games I was really depressed and distant from life..it is all relevant. I get as much from the games, making crafts for everyone, as you get from receiving them.. I most likely receive a whole lot more if we were counting... it is nice feeling to hear someone here say that they recieved it and that they love it, as you did..so who is the winner here... I hope we both are.... love Red

RE: A nice Little Surprise
Hey mel, put the food in crock pots!!!! LOL glad to hear she is getting released and going home...My aunt is getting out on the 9th of November and my mother in law is wanting out now!!!!....get this one..she didn't want to worry me, but they put the wrong name band on her arm and have been giving her the wrong medications...and she also suffers severly from osteoporosis...and I'm looking at her bed today, and it sags so badly in the middle with the edges higher and very hard...I never noticed because she has always been in bed, but today she was up and moving...so I went to the admin.office and asked for her to get another mattress or bed...and she said she would try...and my sister in law from New York who is a nurse called the head nurse and requested an incident report to be made regarding the name band and meds....I'll tell ya...they are so understaffed there, it's a shame.....as I was walking to my mommy in laws room, this sweetheart of a woman was in a wheelchair crying and asked me not to leave her alone there, and would I please take her home...it broke my heart...she was by the nurses station and they just ignored her...but I reassured her she would be fine, and that someone would take care of her and that she wasn't alone, and later I noticed she was with one of the nurses behind the desk smiling...it's so depressing there.....ugh

How was your dinner at Olive Garden, or did you make it yet?...I too love that place....hope you enjoyed....

no where to hide
