sweet my fanny I HATE CATS......Their Momma carried the first one dripping cold and nearly dead thru my doggie door....How do these animals and people find me? Why didnt my darn dogs at least growl at em nooooooooooooooooo they start licking them...I put the first one on a heating pad...and the whole family scattered outside looking for the rest of em....6 of em total....and the Momma......I HATE CATS DO YOU HEAR ME HATE EMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMm

Jayne If there was a hurt animal on the farm anywhere ... You would have it in the house being taken care ok ..
Its just in a farmers heart ..
I think that about chickens ........ dirty things but taste good ..They peck you and chase you .. darn bandies (sp)

LOL you have no Idea how many newborn calves have been warmed by our stove.....or pigs brought in and fed...or baby chicks kept under a light in the den its just what we do but I did call the newspaper and put in an add for free kittens and Momma will go to vet and be fixed before a new home is found for her...........I really do hate cats....Thank God the vet cuts me a good deal on fixing these strays people drop off....

Same at the farm here jayne the baby lambs , calves , runt pigs , It gets that they want boxes during the winter when it gets so cold .. do use heaters in the buildings but still new babies somethings need that extra boost..
Only thing is I cant milk a cow or a sheep .. just cant get it down pat like hubby and his dad got it . lol
They have holstiens so everyone sees that and its drop off city .. got a cute 7 toe on both ofthe front feet ,....cat that way ..
Vets dont like to make house calls anymore .. most are going to small animals around here ..

Gads I would hate to hand milk a holstien its bad enough with a jersey but holsteins give mega milk.....Milking a goat is easy a sheep never tried......but yes people know I will feed the strays
