RE: Your thoughts... PLEASE
I know hearing loss and memory loss is a big rating. I was just looking at a PI rating page the other day as i was put at MMI the end of Aug. and have my appt. scheduled for a rating in Jan. of 2008. Let me send you the link to look at. I do not know how accurate it is for you at this time. Good luck.

I know every state is different for their ratings, but this can give you an idea.http://www.wcb.nt.ca/publications/PMI_Guide_April2007.pdf

RE: Your thoughts... PLEASE
Hey David, you have the right to deny or accept anything you want or don't want. That's why it is a great tool going to this site, so you can get input from many people once you get an offer and a Rating. I don't reccomend playing games with Workman's Comp back and forth, but with all the help available here, let's hope you don't have to. Also, once you get that Rating, like in my case, they will start paying you bi weekly as 1171 said, based on that initial Rating. Again, I am currently getting payments on my initial rating, but have not accepted and signed off on that amount yet.

No,I don't have a rating yet. But I just found out today that my atty. is sending me to see a shrink for an evaluation. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. Do you think it has to do with my rating...trying to get it higher? One more question.....Will I have a choice on taking what they offer me....Can I take to a judge and let him deside....does that ever happen?
Thanks,1171

I don't know enough about your case to say whether you are ready for a rating or there are other issues that have to be addressed first.
If there is more then one opinion and rating on your condition and the parties can't agree then the judge will decide which to award.

P.S. the canadian disability rating schedule has little in common with california's system.

RE: Your thoughts... PLEASE
I think you misunderstood.
Go to the top of this page and select User CP
then from the left hand menu select edit profile
under additional information put your state.

that way in any future postings a reader can click on your name and find out what state comp laws apply.
