Compensation Checks are slightly less than 2/3rds
#1
My husband was injured awhile ago. Today I was reviewing one of the letters where they explain the amount each check will be and how they calculated the amount of his monthly pay before the injury. The amount of the monthly pay multiplied by 2/3rds is a higher number than the checks that we have been getting. The difference is about 4% of the total monthly pay. So we have been getting 62.6% instead of 66 2/3% Is there any reason that the checks would be just slightly less than 2/3rds?
Could the insurance agent have messed up the math?

it's likely his AMW is over the maximum.
there is a maximum amount used Average Monthly Wage depending on the date of injury.
here is a list of the limits

Sorry for the delay in my reply. Actually his checks total under $1500 a month so no where near the limit. The numbers I used for my previous calculations were all on one page from the insurance company, it's just the math seems to be wrong. The calculated amount for preinjury checks matches the other papers that show how they calculated to get that number. But the amount each check will be is less than 2/3rds of that number.

Have you ever heard of an insurance company making a mistake when calculating what the monthly compensation checks should be?

Yes, they can make mistakes in entering the amount of the check.

maybe the payment period is not full weeks; the dayly rate could be accurate.
