#1
if anyone has any info ive been seeing a surgeon and general dr both referred me to a pain management clinic yet when talking with the adjuster she stated they would not authorize because of my past drug abuse. ive been over two years clean of of meth and dont understand how this is legal. besides the fact that he perscribes me 60 percocet tens now one every four hours the max he can do and everytime i go to the pharmacy they deny it even with preauth stating they only cover 33 pills in a 10 day period so they make me pay for the whole script. please someone help me with even a direction i can go its such excrutiating pain.

Utah has adopted utilization review guidelines to control medical treatment.
Your physician can appeal their treatment denial.
Review the utilization review rules here

labor commission won't touch a work comp issue; that's what the comp court is for.
you don't pay a work comp atty upfront; they are paid out of any benefits they obtain for you. get one that specializes in workers comp.
you also need to change doctors and get one that will do the appeal paperwork
