RE: Question about epidurals
Bummer:

You may have to be put on NSAIDs, they do help with the pain and inflammation. I had to be off mine for almost a week for a procedure at the hospital and boy I sure noticed the differance, mine pain increased alot, now since Weds. evening I'm back on them, and my lower back and left hip has been feeling a little better.

I too have an altered gait (limp) from the back and hip pain, my hip X-ray was done back in Feb and was ok, and my recent bone scan looked ok, by the reports. I'm taking all of the films with me to the new doctor next week, since the same hospital did my MRI in 12,06 and the radiologist didn't read it right, and said no bulges or acute injury, and 3 doctors have since seen the films and seen 3 mildy bulging discs. I no longer trust the radiologist at that hospital. If I have any more test ordered, I'm requesting a differant hospital.

Gook luck to you
Vickie

RE: Question about epidurals
Bummer, I know You have a lot on Your Plate right now and so do I, and I can't remember if You have Counsel or not. If You do, Your Attorney is going to have to file a Penalty Petition for necessary Medical Care, to get Your Knees and Back treated Correctly! Now We all know w/c judges can go in a lot of different directions on a Case, But I've had to do this about 5 Times already, every thing from not Paying for Meds. to Denying to Pay for Dr.'s Appts. and Tests and MRI's done, and My Judge gets very UPSET at Defense when they See an Injured Worker being denied necessary Care!! Now this is in Pa. but if You win not only will they have to Pay the Bills, but they will also be Penalized from 10-50%, plus Interest, and that MoneY goes Directly to You for the Delays You had to Suffer! And Most w/c Judges rule in Favor of the I/W when these Games are Played!! So if You have Counsel, take that Route, if You don't have Counsel, get one soon before it's too late for them to Help! Please don't be Upset that I don't remember if You have Counsel, I'm on here after not sleeping all Night, too much on My Mind to be able to fall Asleep, even with Meds. for it! Best of Luck, You know I Care and am on Your Side My friend, and I Hope this Helps!!!Smile

RE: Question about epidurals
I'm no Pro at this, but I did Read that Post, and it sounds like You are having Problems not only with Your Hip, but Your Thecal Sac as Well. All of this can and should be able to be tied into Your altered Gait, caused by Your Knee Problems. The Calcification may be Bone Spurs, nonetheless, whatever it is I'm sure the Pain is not Pleasant! Rest Easy, try to relax, I know it's Hard with so Much going on, I set Daily waiting for my Spine to Deteriorate more, and Wonder every Morning if when my Feet Hit the Floor if My Legs will Work! I only say this so You know You are not alone, and Believe Me, I feel for You! Please don't let this get too Overwhelming for You My Friend, stay Strong, and try not to worry too much until You've seen the Dr. Please feel Free to PM Me if you need to, I said I was going to take a Break from Here on Off Topic, but I can't Just Set here, and not be in Contact with all of You! You are the Very Best Friends I have right now, and if I can Help any of You in even the smallest way, it will Brighten My Day!! God Bless!!Smile
