Anyone heard from Arizona gal with concussion and hubby Larry?
I've been looking back over the posts and see that our friend who had the accident with a filing cabinet seems to have vanished. Or maybe I am just missing something. I've not seen or heard anything since we last heard that she went to see a doctor. I truely hope nothing has gone wrong. Has anyone heard anything.....or seen any posting that I am missing?

RE: Anyone heard from Arizona gal with concussion and hubby Larry?
Lorri Ann has had a very bad weekend. She is not feeling well and is very disoriented. The only DR who will see her referred her to neurosurgeons and neurologists, however, the state is dragging its feet on approving her. Her supervisor reported to WC and the state of AZ that she was previously receiving treatment from her PCP for headaches and nausiousness (sp ?), however Lorri Ann has never reported any symptoms or received any treatment for such in the last 2+ years. So at this point Lorri Ann can not get any further treatment. We requested the med records to forwards to the state. When the worker from the state was informed Lorri Ann has not been seen by her PCP for almost 2 years she seemed to soften.
Lorri Ann is very upset by all of the lies and can not believe people would say such things. I keep trying to stay by her side and comfort her. She worries what the other people are saying about her and I tell her that is not important. Lorri Ann is not getting any rest and Mollie, our red doberman, won't leave her side. You guys seem like a very caring and knowledgeable group and we are lucky to have found you. bagpussinamerica Wrote:I've been looking back over the posts and see that our friend who had the accident with a filing cabinet seems to have vanished. Hi Larry
Don't give up the fight, make sure that Lorri Ann gets the help she needs. Let her know that as we all on this forum know, dealing with WC is a major pain in the a@@. There will be lies, deceit, denial and anything else they can do to try to get her to give up the fight. get a lawyer now, if you don't have one. Get a free consult from several. She is lucky to have you with her during this time, be strong for her. Give Mollie a few extra treats for watching over her too. Take care Vickie |

Larry please explain to her that Some employers only want you when everything is bright and cheery .. Once you get hurt then they forget ..
Sorry but this is going to bother her for along time .. she sounds innocent just like I was .. Thought doctors were the good guys , gods and took their oath to treat ppl .. Thought my "job " cared for me Cared that I worked my butt off for them .. helped the manager so She could make her commission higher , Right after getting Hurt then the fangs cme out and I seen how ppl shun away , not sure If its Afraid to loose jobs or dont want to be involoved .. Watched as that same manager Claimed that they will leave the country then help me when and if the time comes .. So that was or is my so called friends .. Larry Please take it real slow with her ok .. all the differnet emotions alone are going to be a slapinthe face to her I pray that you and her are doing ok andremember This site is the best ... They do CARE !! |

RE: Anyone heard from Arizona gal with concussion and hubby Larry?
Larry, I agree with everything that I have read here. I worked very hard for one employer to the point of not applying for any job that would interfer with the hours I worked for her, in the end she just left me by the wayside. I second guessed myself, wondered what I did wrong, didn't they like me.........all of that. Thought well, maybe they feel guilty and don't want to face me........and that was just the employer. WC was an entire different thing. Started off by saying that they understood, would walk me through the system, don't be worried. I was going to be okay. Then I got fired, with no explation. Not a word of "Hope you get better soon, " Nothing. And WC start talking to me as if I am doing something wrong.
Well. I can't afford to use the system. So I would absoultely not be here if I could find a way not to be. Your wife is a really sensitive and loving person and she is taking all of this personally. And she can't. None of this is personal and the minute that you think that it is, you are signing up for a bad time. The hope is that if you feel bad enough about being ill, you might just go away. Guilt. Makes people do strange things. Your wife has nothing to feel guilty about. Ok, she may have had a time way long ago when things were bad and that is what they are bringing up. Means nothing at all. Don't back down. She was hurt on the job. She is going through a bad time because of that same accident. Nothing else. The accident didn'tbring back bad memories from something in the past. The accident happened and made the present situation worse. Do Not Back Down. I am so sorry that she is having such a bad time over all of this. There is always a time when something happens and we wonder if there was something we did that was wrong. Other people will always take advantage of that feeling. If she can not be strong for herself, then you need to be for her, until she can. And she will. It will happen, just not this minute. The strength will come. But don't give up now. And Larry, bless you for being there. You are the strength at the moment. Later, it may be different and Lori will come after you big time....but now. I will keep you in my prayers, you have been in my thoughts from the first day of her posting. Don't let everything overwhelm you. Keep things in perspective. Look for the logic of things. Don't over react. And when it comes to the WC..........always be polite. Same with the employer, though I know for sure that will be very hard. Don't give anyone an excuse to find fault with anything. I know that seems like giving in. It really isn't. It is being strong in a way most can never do. Most of here have learned that strength. And, my God, is it hard. Keep your faith, keep going to church, keep keeping in touch with friends and family who can help you with that support. |

RE: Anyone heard from Arizona gal with concussion and hubby Larry?
Lori Ann & Larry & pooch,
You are all in my prayers! Hang in there, get a cert WC lawyer, as she apparently is injured far worse than they are dx-ing We all pray she will be alright, and you will stay strong to provide mental and physical assistance to her. Lilly
Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!! A careless word may kindle strife, a cruel word may wreck a life, a timely word may level stress, and a loving word may heal and bless! |
