RE: paid for dr visits during work time
WHen I was working and have a wc doctor's appointment I was paid for the time it took to drive to and from the doctors appointment and the time spent in the medical facility.

Remember to keep track of your miles traveled to you appointment.

RE: paid for dr visits during work time
I'm in Mich....I also was paid for MD appmnts, time at hospital for tests & xrays. Don't forget to log your mileage to these visits, as WC is responsible for reembursing you for mileage too (nj may be different though). Go to the top of the page and look up info by state.

RE: paid for dr visits during work time
In PA, you are only paid for lost time due to doctor's visits if those visits are not available outside of working hours. Mileage is only reimbursed for treatment outside of your regular geographic area, and even then, only if the same or similar treatment is not available within your area. I don't know in Mich.

I haven't found anything on the website saying that you are compensated for time while at doctors visits.

however - please do as the others suggest and keep track of your mileage.

RE: paid for dr visits during work time
mel...my organization in NJ expected the employee to do all doctors visits and physical therapy etc on their own time and they were not reimbursed, so my thinking is that you are not reimbursed. Red

I think they will only pay you for your mileage like everyone else said. They want you to go to the doctor on your own time. I would come in early and leave early.
