Let's see,
I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare

complained she didn't want any prayer in our schools.

And we said, OK.

Then, someone said you better not read the Bible

in school, the Bible that says "thou shalt not kill,
thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbors as yourself,"

And we said, OK...

Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehaved because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem.

And we said, an expert should know what he's talking

about so, we won't spank them anymore..

Then someone said teachers and principals better not discipline our children when they misbehave. And the school administrators said no faculty member in this school better touch a student when they misbehave because we don't want any bad publicity, and we surely don't want to be sued.

And we accepted their reasoning...

Then someone said, let's let our daughters have abortions
if they want, and they won't even have to tell their parents.

And we said, that's a grand idea...

Then some wise school board member said, since boys will be boys and they're going to do it anyway, let's give our sons all the condoms they want, so they can have all the fun they desire, and we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school.

And we said, that's another great idea...

Then some of our top elected officials said it doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs.
And we said, it doesn't matter what anybody, including
the President, does in private as long as we have jobs
and the economy is good....

And someone else took that appreciation a step further
and published pictures of nude children and then stepped further still by making them available on the Internet.

And we said, everyone's entitled to free speech....

And the entertainment industry said, let's make TV shows and movies that promote profanity, violence and illicit sex... And let's record music that encourages rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic themes...

And we said, it's just entertainment and it has no adverse effect and nobody takes it seriously anyway, so go right ahead.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and
why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, classmates
or even themselves.

Undoubtedly, if we thought about it long and hard enough, we could figure it out.
I'm sure it has a great deal to do with...

you know in this day and age and what we have all been thru you would think anyone who could bring peace and order would....then there are those who think all that has went on is OK  maybe for those who believe in a higher power these bring a bit of comfort then there are those who believe in nothing I pity those for nothing or no one can comfort them.however if you would rather I leave just say so 1171 but my faith is a part of me.the passing on part was not supposed to be on this but I am new to this cut and paste stuff so be patient I am learning I had no idea my learning process would insult you.I am not having a good day...I am very depressed,your comment hurt my feelings....sex on a washing machine,or a gambling trip didnt bother you but a topic on God did?Maybe you are also having a bad day at the risk of insulting you may I ask for Gods blessings on you for a better day and a happier tomorrow

This is an open forum, and as long as its not against the terms of service, anyone should be able to post what they want. There are many posts that are off topic here, if you dont want to read them, then dont. We have many things posted here from washing machine sex, to a person posting their fake death.

However, I think we need to remember one thing, if its off topic, we should put OT in the subject line, that way the ones who dont care to read off topic posts can just skip right over it.

Thank you prncess for saying what many of us thought!! Although, I have to be honest....I was thinking much more harshly than you!!! It's a good thing I got here a little later so you could say it very well for me!!!

Oh my gosh!! I have been sitting here for 2 days reading and reflecting on what has transpired and couldn't even find the words to express my feelings. I don't get speachless very often but this really threw me for a loop. And then jayne posted the "silent sermon" post and the "we reap what we sow" post and I finally had some peace in my heart over all of this. And then 1171 comes on to interrupt my comfort. What you posted 1171 reminds me of something "stopfraud" would say from the old post. Thank you jayne for posting these 2 posts...by doing so, you have lightened my heavy heart. Also jayne, thank you for bringing me out of my silence....I truely needed your beautiful words.

Thank you for posting that Jayne. Unfortunately it is feelings such as Stopfraud has that is now keeping God out of our schools and our lives. It is time that we who believe should stand up to those who say we "cannot or should not" and remind them that this country was founded on our beliefs in God and that is what has made our country and people strong. I think it's time to take back what has been taken from us and quit letting all these whiny damned foreigners and people like them tell us what we can and cannot do

thank all of you so much.....I struggle daily with so much but here I come to visit my family I feel it is our abilty to discuss ANYTHING that makes this site a family when it gets to discussing ONLY our injuries it will become like the other sites and people will drop out one by one as their injury question is answered and they heal.we are here to get our questions answered by a host of people with hearts and brains that just happen to have a broken body...and as our bodies heal so do our hearts and our arms grow to circle everyone who needs not only a medical or WC question but just love...
I will not lie after his comment I wanted to leave I was so hurt,but the family I have here at home hurt my feelings also and I just go off and cry and come back and I did the same
Maybe 1171 does not care for my sayings and if that be... simply dont click on my name..I will not deny God or his influence in my heart,home and everyday life.
