Is it legal to be obligated to use my personal time for work related injury?
I've hurt my back on the job and lost a few days of work because of that. My boss opened workers compensation claim and sent me to the company doctor. Also to cover for the time lost, he said, I may use my personal time off (vacation or floatings), but not the sick time, because he said he was told by the corporate that under workers compensation claim I can only use PTO if I want but not the sick time.
Just wandering if it is legal, since it doesn't seem right to me that I can not use sick time when I sick?
I am in Florida.
florida state work comp laws do not cover or dictate how an employer handles their leave policies.
I suggest that  you contact your union or your local labor commissioner.
