RE: IME
What can you do if they won't approve you to see a neurosurgeon? What if the Dr.(their Dr.) says no, even if the first Dr.(my choice) says yes?

I'm not sure, but if you have a referral, I beleive they have to pay or you will be notified that they won't before the appointment.

You should really condsider getting a W/C related lawyer. It doesn't cost anything to call a few and ask for a free consultation. Most take a % of what they receive for you in moneatary (I'm not sure about in your state, mine is 20%).

There is an "info by state" area at the top of this page, you should check it out and see if it helps you understand the process better. Just a suggestion, but you should put your state in your BIO, so anyone who wants to respond will see it. Laws vary by state, so it helps to know which one you are in, when clicking on your name.

Welcome to the forum, there are a lot of knowledgable(spelling?), on here. Enjoy some down time on the off topic area as well.

Take care
Vickie

RE: IME
I don't know if they know about the appt. since it was the first Dr. I saw, am now seeing their choice. Will know more on the 8th when I see him. I got my MRI results and I'm sure he will gomover it w/me, I hope. At the bottom of the page my Dr. wrote a note that she wants me to go see a Neurosurgeon. I don't know if it's up to her or the Dr. I see on 8th. Guess I'll know soon.
Meanwhile while this is all going on, I'm going to an online school to become a Medical Transcriptionist. I have been working in a hospital for the last 8 years and after school, I hope to be transferred to another Dept. Wish me luck.

I do wish you luck and hope you succeed in anything that you do. I noticed that you did put your state in your profile, thank you, if you start another thread in the future, it will help people here to help you.

I must have missed your post that said what your injury is, could you refresh my memory? I have figured from your above post that it has to with discs, in your back or neck.Am I correct?

Take care
