Workmans Comp question
I've never been injured on the job before, so I don't know procedures, is it normal for the insurance company (**no names please**) to call you and take a recorded statement over the phone or should it somehow go through my attorney?
It is normal for the insurance company to call for a statement but if you have a WC attorney, they shouldn't. Most people do not have an attorney right away.
Sorry for naming, I actually signed with an attorney yesterday, my main concern is can is hurt my case in any way? I just told it how it happened
yes. if the injury was not work related your claim will be denied. your statement can be used as evidence.
........Each state has their own comp system; POST YOUR STATE to get accurate information.........
My injury DID happen on the job, What I meant was this is the first time I have been hurt on the job and don't know the procedure. Sorry for the confusion.
it's not up to you to decide, especially if you are not familiar with the law.
workers comp is more lenient then civil law so I doubt your statement will affect the outcome but take your attys advice.

Ok I will Ty for the help
Speak with your lawyer. But remember just because it happened at work does not mean they will not try to fight paying for it.
