RE: Need Halloween Help !!!
Love how you putthat extra time into halloween for the kids

The fire dept that I belong to have an after halloween party for the kids .. so right at the end of treat time ... The kids coem to the station and we dress up do the stop drop roll , pass out candy , just give back to the community .
Its really funny 15 mins before it starts not a person to be seen but once trick an treat time is over ... We have between 100-150 kids within 1 hour . Ok some of the prizes aare more about safety .
I still would love to have a haunted house but just dont have the room with trucksin the way lol .

P.s still sitting at home not working .

RE: Need Halloween Help !!!
Tweety

I don't do anything fancy to the house really - but I have an arch entry way that they have to walk through to get to the door - which helps because they don't expect to see the spider webs stuck to the walls or the "kids" sitting on the benches. Oh And I have some streamers coming down the front of the arch to make it kind of different.

I have always dressed up for Halloween since I moved back to the states - it's something that my son looked forward to. Mom taking him around dressed up. Witch was my favorite costume - but I have also gone out as a bag of M&M's and a Saloon gal from the old west.

So lots of fun for the kids - I have even had parents give me treats just for being dressed up taking the kids around ....... think they enjoyed it as well. It's all in a bit of fun and the kids here just love the idea of an adult answering the door passing out candy dressed up in costume.

Overseas - when my son had his b-day parties - he would give his guests presents to thank them for coming - most of those treat bags where different in that they were useful to the kids - wash cloths, tooth brushes, cups, activity or story book, crayons, box of juice, some chocolate, pencils, etc. So you can see how creative one can get - you pick a theme and go with it. I would spend weeks making the bags for his party at home and then also for the party at school because all of it had to be just right ...... lol sometimes being a perfectionist doesn't pay at all.
