diagnosed with tissue laxity and....
#1
Hi All,

Tissue laxity, my ligaments stretch too much, it can be a good thing or a bad thing with a TKR. It can lead to the lessening of the implant repeat surgery sooner than the norm.

So the tissue is literally catching on the implant causing pain and instability at times. Just what I wanted to hear.

I also had blood drawn to rule out an infection, that can cause tissue laxity as well.

I will pray it is not an infection.

Can anything me done to cure the tissue laxity if it is not caused by infection?

What about work restrictions?

Nothing can be done if it's just laxity. Infection requires removal of the implant and then wait on average of 3 months and replace it.
