Pics from MRI

.bmp  disc 02.bmp (Size: 65.05 KB / Downloads: 35)
.bmp  disc 01.bmp (Size: 65.05 KB / Downloads: 24) Hello all.. I have a question that the radiologist didn't answer when she did my MRI. ( probably because she wants my dr to answer it I'm sure. ) But on the pics I've attached some of the disc have white lines that are on the back disc and the others do not. Now I do not know which disc this is I'm only "assuming" since its black its the L4-L5 disc that they keep telling me is degenerated and that level also has osteoarthritis... If anyone knows anything a/b the below I would appreciate it, as my next dr appt is a while away and I would just like to know what it is.. Its gotten me curious so to speak.. I won't hold anyone to anything but I've searched and cannot find any pics of anything else like it so it has "sparked" my curiousity....

Thanks In advance.

RE: Pics from MRI
for some reason it would only let me load up 2..

But those all the other levels are just the disc with no lines just those 2 leves are the ones with the lines... You can tell its only 2 because the other pics that show the lines are the exact same... Just not 100% sure what the lines are or what 2 levels....

I was just curious out of everyone elses MRI's if those ever showed up? My previous MRI those were not there??

RE: Pics from MRI
Hmm.

It doesn't look like the disc is protruding, at least not much anyway. Honestly, neither of those images is ideal, but as far as I can see, the nerve roots are not impinged, which is good.

As for the sparkly bits, i wouldn't be too worried. I grabbed a copy of Netter's Concise Orthopedic Anatomy and those sparkles were on that one as well. Probably just calcifications.

A sagittal (side) view would help, of course, the entire MRI would help more, but that's probably not going to happen. My advise: see what the doctor says and call the facility in the morning to request the report.

RE: Pics from MRI
yeah I just noticed those aren't the best pics... I did call the MRI facility today and he stated of course he couldn't tell me what the lines are on the one disc ( he did let that part slip out ), I said two he said no just one... SO guess I'll just have to find out on Wednesday...
