RE: Today's visit
Jayne - I called my case manager yesterday a/b trying to get some meds and she goes well you need to call the dr's nurse. ( even though prior she told me to call her for anything ) So I called the dr's nurse and left a message a/b seeing if could get something for pain. She called today and said no that they don't know what is causing my pain so they don't know what to give me..
The case manager has scheduled my MRi for tomorrow and my next visit for the 22nd of this month... She stated if nothing shows up then there is nothing else they can do for me as the dr I see now doesn't treat chronic pain... The w/c system is just a joke... If it was my personal insurance I would have done 1000 test by now... The weird thing is though they won't let the current dr office do any MRI but they let them do the EMG even though the other place that does MRI does EMG's... That thru up a red flag to me... But maybe i'm just over worried.... I don't know.... I just want to be back to as normal as possible and get the pain level manageable to spend time with my family w/o saying no I can't go b/c i'm in extreme pain... |

RE: Today's visit
well hell what is your lawyer doing? His job is to see that you are being taken car of....Okay the joker you are seeing now dont know the problem get you to one that does now....for Christ sakeyou need some tests run to find out if you can be fixed and put back to work before you are ruined for life ask for a PM Dr till they can fix you.I got the same run around they did a disc o gram and found the problem...not a comfortable test but they found the problem.....if the pain is bad go to the ER
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: Today's visit
Jayne - I did contact my atty. earlier and since they are doing another MRI tomorrow w/ contrast he said that until my next visit i cannot interrupt treatment.. Hopefully this will show something..
My best friends wife stated that they did the MRI w/ contrast on her and found nothing, but then the dr ordered the discogram and found the bad disc.. My problem is just constant pain in lower back.. And occasionally the left leg goes numb.... I'm just sick of being treated like a problem and wish they would just figure out the problem causing this.. I understand that medical care is expensive but i don't want to live in this pain for life or be considered disabled either, as I do not think I am... I just refuse to accept there is nothing that can be done... That may just be me being unrealistic though... As prior to this my life was full of daily activities from running 2 miles a day, to riding fourwheelers, to playing soccer & baseball w/ my kids.. And now I can barely ride the lawnmower w/ it killing my back from the vibration & bumps in the yard.. |

RE: Today's visit
Jayne - I forgot to tell you that my case manager stated I cannot go to the ER... If I'm in that bad of emergency I have to contact her to make an appt w/ my dr as if I go to the ER they will not pay for it.. I think this is a crock of crap but I've write it down in my journal that I keep for future reference..
