RE: Playing with Depression
Jayne,

I am so sorry to hear this. It's not an easy thing to face a big change in ones life such as you are. Have you considered a walker with a seat on it for now ? When you find yourself getting tired or weak, it is as close as your hands to sit down and regain your composure.

I will keep you in my prayers that your Dr will find a solution for you that will get your pain levels down, but still allow you the freedom of a full life and ability to function and keep your family running as the well oiled machine I know you run it as. Don't be afraid to ask for more help from those around you. It isn't a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength when you recognize you have to ask for help.

I also have a Dr's appt with my ortho and dermatologist on the 6th. Going to be a long day. First appt at 8:45 in Decatur means a wake up at 6 AM and last appt is at 1:40 pm in FT Worth, meaning I will hit rush hour traffic coming home. So probably won't get home til early evening. Get to tell the ortho it looks like the ulnar nerve transposition didn't work, or has ccaused more problems. Which ever it is, I will lay odds on the loss of use of my left arm by the beginning of the New Year unless something else can be done.

Keep your head up Jayne and if you need someone to talk to, I am here. I've been under treatment for severe depression since getting medicare in March 2011, so know how badly it can affect a person. And remember, if God brings us to it, he will bring us through it.

Angel ^J^

I've always been crazy, but it keeps me from going insane.

RE: Playing with Depression
Undercover has the doctor said what went wrong with the ulnar nerve transposition? My sister had that surgery the surgeon said you only get one chance with that surgery.

RE: Playing with Depression
Jayne hugs sweetheart, we've all been there and it's never easy. But sometimes you need to get it off your chest and do the chair. Pain is so hard and when it lingers, interferes with just about everything people tend to just give in.

Question, thyroid problems? Hypothyroid? Ever been checked for that? Hypothyroid and depression is pretty common, just about 85% of people with a low functioning thyroid have depression.

Prayers my friend.

RE: Playing with Depression
Had 2 Drs visits the one with the foot Dr he was nice enough to put another shot in my foot between my toes to try and break up the scar tissue there I dont remember what kind of shot it was but within seconds I could taste it and he was giving it in my foot! it was nasty Someone please tell me why I can taste it? he just said I was sensative to the med but please that isnt a good answer not to me altho he really is a good Dr.
the other one was to my PCP he just says he cant force me into a chair,I am not going to get better it will get worse as the discs around them are forced to take on more weight but he would most likely do the same thing I am doing....
There was however "new"paperwork we had to do at both Dr offices...and at my PCPs she said we will have to do it every office visit they will need our picture ID,our medicare insurance card and our champus ID.
