Sad I am having a hard time in michigan
I had a work injury in which a resident when trying to assist rolled up my foot with a electric wheel chair. It caused contusions and tingling / numbing of toes. The first week was 100% sitting and 100% crutches. I went to the doctor yesterday and it's still sitting and use of crutches when walking as support and that i can start to bare weight using them. My employer has one avoided me and on occaision saying we have nothing for you. I drove sunday and monday to work when they said I was working and they sent me back home. I hate that because it was my holiday pay . I did show up but they sent me home. I even begged my doctor to let me do something more than what he was going to let me do but he couldn't in good concious do so. I need to work my husband layed off and working half the pay he was getting. I am the main bread winner. I have bills. Isn't my employer suppose to find something and/or pay me for what they don't have? I am trying to work. It's not like I'm trying to stay out. I drive 40 min to work and thats 2 days i wasted my gas. They are doing nothing to help me here. What are my rights? Thank you and God Bless..

Yes.

You need to file a claim form. You can do it online here
http://www.michigan.gov/documents/wca_WC...9771_7.pdf
Rolleyes
you also need some basic information about what benefits are available to you and how to get them.
Read the OVERVIEW document as well as the SUMMARY OF YOUR RIGHTS from the state's work comp website
http://www.michigan.gov/wca/0,1607,7-191...--,00.html
