Anyone canning this summer?
I tried my hand at canning for the first time this summer.

Made some salsa, next canning tomatoes.

I plan on canning pickles in a few days. My son is opening containers for me, lifting heavy pans off the stove and with the combined efforts I will get the canning done.

Anyone else doing canning this summer?

RE: Anyone canning this summer?
yes I have...but they are not the easiest to do your cukes have to be young and fresh picked that morning.I make dill and bread and butter and one time I made a crock salt pickle for Daddy....Daddy and the kids loved them but they took weeks to make....bread and butter are the easiest and the best tasting I think

RE: Anyone canning this summer?
I've put in a large garden this yr but it's not really producing, the corn looks good but the tomatoes are crap. The cantalope looks great, got a couple that are bigger than my head. I'd love to do some canning but nothing to can. Hopefully next year.
