C&R Question?
I want to know how the insurance company's are suppose to pay the settlement amount, I recieved one check but not the amount that i signed for. Do they normally send small checks in the 30 day period that they have to pay me? The check states Lump sum but is far less then my settlement amount. I'm alittle paranoid right now , i fel like the insurance company is still playing games .

RE: C&R Question?
I checked the paper work and it stated all the deductions where taken out leaving me with a balance of $80,000 and defendants to pay/adjust/litigate all liens acording to ca fee schedule. WCAB to retain jursidiction. defendants control MPN. Applicant will be held Harmless of any and all Liens.
I recieved a payment of $20,000 yesterday and was expecting a check of $80,000 , so i called the lady who handled the C&R paperwork yesterday and asked her if it was normal to get small payments , she said thts they sometimes send 4 checks, i was skeptical of this so i wanted to see if anyone else has had this done to them by the insurance company? What if they dont send me what i signed for? |

RE: C&R Question?
The only thing I can think of is if there was more than one date of injury or if the lump sum is specifically spit between wage loss and medical there may be more than one check. I would agree that a call to your lawyer is in order.
