RE: RME
I received my RME report in the mail.It said exactly what the doctor told me.He stated I had not reached MMI and definitely need more treatment with surgery being a strong possibly.I am so relieved and grateful I will finally be receiving the treatment I need and hopefully getting some relief!!!

RE: RME
Thank you!!It is so awesome for everything to be going my way.My new doctor is already doing so much for me in a short time.He sent me to pain management, ordered a stat mri,set up appointments for my egd test,a pt evaluation,an orthopedic surgery consult, and ordered a back brace to help support my back.I just cant believe after fighting for so long to get help it is finally here!!I hope everything is going better for you and the meeting with your case manager goes well! Happy 4th of July to you too!!

RE: RME
Hi hurt back. Thanks for asking.I appreciate it!I havent had much progress yet.The only thing that has been done so far is the emg/nerve conduction test which I still havent received the results for.I had appointment this week for a fce exam but that was delayed due to I had emergency surgery yesterday on an abscessed tooth.I do have an appointment Monday with the pain management doctor, then on Tuesday the Fce exam, and Wednesday a consultation with a neurosurgeon. It just seems it test after test.I will be glad when actual treatment begins. It is also tough due to all of my appts are 3 hours away.I am not complaining though.I am lucky that I found a good doctor that cares and grateful that for now my insurance company is not fighting me.How are things with you?Hope you are doing better. What did they say your next step will be in your treatment?

RE: RME
Well my next appt is the 25th of this month.. From what my nurse case manager was talking a/b she doesn't think the injections should be continued ( due to my reaction to them last time ) and that maybe we should consider surgery.....
That being said I've come to the fact after talking to others with problems similar to mine that I'm ok with that I just want some pain relief... I'm currently using a cane to walk, my left leg feels weak still and get occasional tiggling in it... I just want to get this over with as well... But we'll see what the Dr says next week. |

RE: RME
Have they performed an EMG/Nerve Conduction test on you.The reason I had to have one was due to the pain going from my lower back into my left leg. I was experiencing numbness, weakness and tingling in that leg also. They stated that is usually a sign of nerve damage.Well good luck on your appt and keep us posted!

He mentioned last time he would request one if I did not get better. But from what I've read a/b nerve studies they are a "useless" test for the most part with false positive and false negative results.. The same with the discogram.. I just want some relief, it gets so bad sometimes that I feel I have no control over my left leg just very tingly and weak and hard to move. |
