RE: QUESTION A/B MRI
It all depends on how physical your being with the injury. I went back to work after a week vacation(no choice) to tremendous physical activity, i ripped out and installed new showers in one day by myself, so it took around 8 months to subside(or i just got used to it). But its easier for it to heal if it hasn't squeezed out. Don't get me wrong, some may never heal(i don't know if mine ever did,no follow ups), but for me going through both bulging and herniated, looking back i was able to deal with bulging more and i personally wouldn't take the risks of surgery for what i went through. Again, i have no idea of your personal pain level, its not all the same, but for me it can and did get alot worse with the herniations. Good luck

RE: QUESTION A/B MRI
Just an FYI, if you do have a problem running the program, download the DICOM viewer.. Just google it and download for free..

Did these and can see the cd with all 130 pics now..

Just figured I would pass on the info...

RE: QUESTION A/B MRI
Those MRI findings are pretty benign. The report doesn't indicate any kind of frank nerve impingement. It is pretty much mild degeneration that anyone over 30 is going to have.

Surgery would be irresponsible in this case. I frankly cannot see what they would even operate on. You really should be doing core exercises and daily stretching.

Also, has anyone done an exam on your SI joints? Sometimes those end up being the problem.

RE: QUESTION A/B MRI
Don't let degenerative discs hold you back from doing things, it will not suddenly get worse from lifting something, it happens over time. I'm 37 with DDD in 5 of the 12 discs they looked at. Everybody has them but doesn't know untill it shows on mri. Take woodlawns advise with the si joints, i don't know what that is but its a route to finding your pain problems. If they reccomend surgery, theyre doing it for the money, good luck.

RE: QUESTION A/B MRI
My thing is ever since my injury my lower back is in constant pain. And the orthropediac surgeon refered me to this Dr who specializes in non - surgical matters, but i feel all he wants to do is do as much test as he can and get his money from the I/c and run.

He is always short and sweet when talking with me.
