lawyer says i can settle
it's me again with a new question, i live in nys and my lawyer says i can settle. I told him i do not want to play around with the IC and them owning me.My ? is how would setteling affect ssd and can i have a section 32 with open medical....thanks in advance...

I just took a section 32 which closed my medical, but you can do a section 32 with open medical, taking a section 32 does affect your ssd, it is all about how your attorney words your settlement.

ss has an 80% earnings threshold.
your settlement has to have wording that pro-rates the total amount over the weeks so the 80% can be correctly calculated.
