Settlement What to expect
Im 22 years old I am a cna I hurt my back at work in 2010 I can no longer do cna work or lift over 20 pounds , I have a low back injury slipped disc I ve been labeled as partially permanently disabled, I have tried therapy and injections nothing has worked I was sent a letter asking if I wanted to do a settlement and close my case, I currently receive 326.46 biweekly payments Im wondering what to expect if I settle what is a resalable offer to expect and if its a good idea to settle?

RE: Settlement What to expect
each state has a different system. most base additional disability payments on an impairment rating. some states use wage loss.
there is no way to give you a settlement value without knowing what your future benefits are worth. |

May be you can settle with open medical, I just settled my case two weeks ago so i am waiting now for my check. |

RE: Settlement What to expect
Hey im also 22 and also a cna from ny, i fractured my c-7 vert. also severely dammaged my radial nerve which caused me to not be able to use my left hand ever again; while running in the room and quickly stopping a large imoble resident from falling out of bed which was left in the air and alarm off from last shift. ofc they are trying to say was from a prior mva accident months earlier but i happen to have mris showing no fracture from accident.
question is did your job try to fight you on it ?.. how long did it take for u to start getting payments? im going into month 7 without work or income finally have expediated haring with summations set for july 2nd all i have left to prove is notice, which i have the note i left them saying i just got out of hospital and what i fractured etc. anyone have any oppinions on what they think ill get my injury is permanant i can never use my hand again or lift or stand for long or sit for long im in severe pain daily in my neck and arm. goodluck on your case man any updates would be cool |
