has anyone had thorasic disc surgery
Has anyone had thorasic disc surgery because yesterday i had anterior lumbar interbody fusion L4-L5 and the doc assisting my surgeon came in to do a follow up today and i told him my other injuries and he said they rarely perform surgery on them. A while ago in february my surgeon said only 2% of those injuries cause problems. Well im one of them and i guess i wanted to know if i shouldnt get my hopes up. This injury is now the worst painful and i was told its affecting my breathing.thanks in advance from delray surgical center, jay

RE: has anyone had thorasic disc surgery
I has Thoracic Surgery; It was T11,T12. Both Vertebrates and Disc were Removed and replaced with a Titanium Cage, bolts and a plate with screws.
My surgery was a Anterior Thoracic Corpectomy. They went through the left side to do this surgery. They deflated my left lung; Removed part of a Rib and the post op was Hell. It took me 2 years before the spinal surgeon would release me as MMI. The post operation pain was extremely bad for 2 months. To this day, The side where they went through to do the surgery hurts as bad as my back. I have a 15" scar wrapping around my left side. I would only have Anterior Thoracic Surgery only if necessary like a vertebrate impinging the spinal cord to the point it could paralyze me. |
