Eyeball, postoperative updateq
Hi All,

Well it's not good, vision has not improved, haze over eye has not improved. The pain is better, that's a big thing, it was hard to sleep the first couple of hours each night with an aching eye ball. The sensitivity to light has not improved whatsoever, it's actually pretty bad, can't drive at night at all, can't stand oncoming headlights. Two pairs of sunglasses during the day just to make it reasonably comfortable and even then it can be really bad.

In eight to 10 weeks we can try laser on the eye if the vision does not improve. If the haze doesn't improve within the next two weeks more than likely it's permanent and the only thing that will fix that is a cornea transplant which I will not agree to whatsoever. High risk of glaucoma in my family, cornea transplants require a great deal of steroid treatment which puts me at about an 80% chance of glaucoma. No, hot happening, I will deal with the haze. I can barely tolerate the steroid drops right now. They cause really bad headaches, I mean on the verge of migrane level. Tomorrow I do down to 2 doses of steroids a day and it will not go back up, they can't make me. I don't care.

I had to say no to a horse back ride on Sunday because of a headache and it was something I really wanted to do. On a horse I had ridden before. that really peeved me off, I love to ride. An opportunity to go thru the back area of Kanapolis lake, do some jumping on a horse, etc. Something I really enjoy, stupid eye ball, I can't even go swimming for another 6 weeks.

Sorry to hear about your eye, was there a chance of this happening in the begining when you had the first procedure...? I pray one day you wake up and it will be back to normal......Darn it all..

Well Bodybuilder if you find yourself needing a driver give me a call, you have my number.

I understand the haze and how difficult that makes it to see, and you add to this all the other things you are coping with related to that eye, you have a full plate girl!

Saying prayers for you!
