Saw new cornea specialist
Hi All,
The saga continues, never a dull moment. But atleast now I know what's going on and hopefully things will correct it's self over time. Instead of been over half way healed things have been set back atleast 2 months of not longer. Rare complication, basically another layer on my eye slothed off after the surgery, 12 days after surgery causing more scarring and my left eye is basically raw. So treatment requires 3 different eye drops applied 4 times a day for a week. Application of a very thick bandaid contact lens that's medicated and tinted. It's tinted to help my severe light sensitivity. We're hoping that the contact lens stays on until I see the doctor again on May 22nd. Today the vision in the left eye was 20/300, it's better close up, 20/180. Right now the doctor is hoping that the eye will heal without any further surgery being needed. The other complication is a haze that has developed over the cornea because of the slothing and it might be permanent. Other surgery that might be needed....let's not even go there. |
