Wc setup a interview without no one knowing after IME appt
Hello all I'm back with another ?. I went to a IME in Feb.Talked to my Dr. and Lawyer and no one has seen a report from there. But I Just got a letter from a company that says I have an interview with them set up by my WC. Has the IC cut me off .I have been on wc for 8 yrs been though all the hoops and all the fights last one was my SCS ,I had that done this past july. I have RSD pretty bad so my pain level are off the charts most of the time.the SCS has helped but still not able to be reliable to a company to work 8 hr a day that would not be right for them to make me a interview without anyone knowing. So what are they pulling now ??????

maybe it's from a company that has new treatment options?
are you thinking it's a job interview?

don't be negative about getting back on your feet or reluctant to hear what's available; that's not the approach you want to project when on disability.

most say: focus on what you can - not on what you can't.
those that are successful overcoming their handicaps have strong mental "can do" attitude.
it's difficult when there are pain and obstacles but if it was easy it wouldn't be worth the struggle.
stay positive.

It's not that i'm negative about the chance to get back into the working world I would love to be back with the world ......I don't feel i'm able to do the 8 hrs they need and I'm alittle PO they did this without asking or giving me a chance to brush up on my social skills some .they gave me 1 week to send in the ap. and will have the interveiw on this coming mon. I've been out of the work loop for 8 years. I have been quite a zombie at times to keep the levels of pain in check .I hate that but at times it's needed. I feel I'm not going to be good at this interview.I would like to know where they have that Dr. report that no one can find? sorry for any confustion rough night pain level high....

All you can do is what you would have done in the past with a job interview. Check out the company, review your current skill sets, not what you will need, because if a company has accepted to set up this interview in the first place by the W/C then they already know you've been out of the work force for a while. Treat it as a dummy run. You do still have skills. Yes they may be a little rusty. Personally I would be greatful if the W/C set me up with a job interview. Of course if it was at McDonalds I would be pissed off.

Have you asked your attorney what is going on? Maybe he knows something that you don't.

RE: Wc setup a interview without no one knowing after IME appt
Before I went back to work, I had interviews, or meetings as they were called, set up with my employer. Basically the employer wanted to talk to me firsthand to see how I was doing, if I felt I was ready to come back to work, and to ask me what I felt I was capable of doing.

The first time, I was scheduled for neck surgery and my employer hadn't been told this by the I/C. I was a wreck during the interview.

Later on, when I was MMI from neck surgery, I had another interview. I was feeling so good and was anxious to get back to work. Even though I too have RSD and a few other things going on, I wanted to try to work. To make a long story short, my employer accommodated my work restrictions and I was able to work for another full year.

After a year, my employer eliminated my position. I knew I was not the same employee as I was before and it further depressed me, but I tried.

I understand your frustration.

Let Go, and Let God......

Sounds like funded employment. Talk to your lawyer ASAP.
