Eye ball update
Somewhat worse, definitely not better. I called the surgeon again yesterday, I tried very, very hard to explain the symptoms to the receptionist, I guess my description sounded funny and she almost laughed, I could tell. That was at 0900, at 1330 the nurse finally called, she listened and said that she would talk to my surgeon and call me back. I called the office again at 1600hrs and she still hadn't talked to the surgeon so no call back.

This morning 0830 I called the surgeon's office yet again, well apparently the nurse still hadn't talked to the surgeon but the receptionist was 'stupid' enough to read to me the notes that the nurse had written. "Patient is unaware that vision fluctuations are normal and that her vision is expected to be somewhat blurry until she gets new lens". I heard that and well, had a hard time not loosing it. But the receptionist did say that the nurse would be calling, right....

It's now nearly 1400hrs, still no call and I have made a couple of decisions. 1) the steroid eye drops, not taking them anymore. It does say that if it causes pain or burning that does not go away after 48 hours to discontinue and call the doctor. So no long taking them, period. 2) Monday when my eye doctor's office opens I will call them and ask for a referral to another specialist. I will not return to the other surgeon's office nor see anybody else in his practice, period. I know that any other doctor won't be too pleased taking on a new patient right after surgery but I think they will understand. When a post-operative patient calls with a problem you call them back, when you tell a patient that you will talk to the doctor about their problem and you will call them back you do it.

So, if anybody in the Wichita, ks needs to know what eye specialist (corneal) not to see give me a call.

I guess I'm cranky,

Update, the nurse called, gee, can you be 32 miles away in 60 minutes to see one of our doctors? No, already decided, not returning, ever. Peeved all over again, guess I'm a bit of a @#$%& today.

RE: Eye ball update
I am curious if this is the eye doctor my niece goes to.

Breanna's vision is 20/400 without glasses.
