Mass workers comp
Not sure what to make of the meeting with my lawyer today and started wondering if a new lawyer would be my best bet, when they say "it wouldnt shock me if you said you were going back to work" after i had 2 doctors and an mri show i cant i start wondering which side he is actually on, also went over the differnt 2 4 and 5 yr payment plans and never touched the whole settlement much. I think I may be on the wrong road here just not too sure.

RE: Mass workers comp
does anyone have any thoughts on this? I just dont understand an attitude like I am playing around and could just go back to work if I wanted, if I could work I wouldnt be home right now. Does anyone know of any lawyers in Mass that are reputable and not jerking people around?

RE: Mass workers comp

Thats what I mean, I am MMI right now at light duty ith 15pd restriction and they said it wouldnt shock us if you called saying youll just go back and tough it out. WTF does that even mean i can barely walk. It was a conversation and one thing that got me wondering was I tried to give them my MRI cd and and he said "no thats your you keep it" WTF its proof the herniation isnt the cause of the nerve problem.

RE: Mass workers comp
Maybe he means it due to your character? As long as he isn't pushing you to settle or pressing you into anything you don't want to do or is illegal I don't think this is cause to look for a new attorney.

Also all X-rays/MRI's etc come with written reports. It's really unnecessary for your attorney to have your MRI cd. Now if you PTP refused it that would be another thing, even then I'm sure your PTP has a copy and/or the report.

I live in CA, it's not always sunny... And the Workers Comp sucks! Smile

Kansas. I am nearing the end of my 7 year work comp process. My attorney also wanted to know if I could hold out the many years work comp takes to make decisions. I know someone who waited 10 years to get a legal decision. I'm pretty sure this is what your attorney is referring to. Can you hold on for many years if necessary or will you just give up and try to find work? It is hard to wait. I got $134 a month from welfare and lived with as many different people as I could. Some waiting for work comp decisions are homeless during the legal process. You attorney wants you to be committed. Can you give him an answer? I told my attorney I want to work but I can't...and I made the best of a bad situation for 7 years. I was awarded $125,000 that was appealled by the employer so another 30 days won't matter waiting for that decision. Good Luck
