Cool Old Injuries
I have been injured a few times on the job, but it was years ago. I injured my wrist in 1980, and have had 5 surgeries sence then and have had to reopen my case severa times. The second one 1985 or 88, I can't remember, and I injured my back and was out for a few months. This was in Oregon. I was covered by great insurance at the time that covered visits to the chiropractor for years afterwards. Well now I'm 50 and my back keeps going out and I'm always in pain. My wrist is still working, but it's in constant pain. What I'm saying is I'm falling apart and I'm worried that I will soon be out of a job because of it. I'm pushing everyday to provide, but soon I will not have a choice and my family is counting on me. We are currently living in Arizona and I have a child with disibilities, any susgestions?

RE: Old Injuries
prepare for the future:
obtain a good disability/income protection policy that pays in addition to any other insurance/disability payments.
keep your insurance up to date.
look into getting private supplemental health insurance, especially those that might include extended care facilities.
review your pension and post-employment finances.
increase your contribution to a retirement plan.
join a union if one is available.

you are not in a worker friendly state so you'll have a tougher time.
review the health and welfare options in other states and consider moving
