Hope for some answers
I have an appointment tomorrow with the neurosurgeon.

My goal is to get some answers on what is going on with the lumbar spine and cervical spine along with trying to get the pain levels under control before the hand surgerys start.

Since January I've seen a change with the lumbar spine, pain in the ankle & foot (10 on the scale) along with trouble lifting the foot, the heavy weighted feeling down the back of the leg, a tightness of the front of the leg.

This may not sound like much but not being able to move the right foot has kept me grounded at home due to the pain and instability/lack of strength in the leg.

Please say a prayer that the appointment turns out well and I am worrying for nothing.

Bummer Knees

RE: Hope for some answers
Say the neurosurgeon this am, I have stenosis, DDD, disc with loss of height, and bulging disc(s) of the lumbar spine. Of the T12 I have the benign tumor.

Surgery is not required or wanted. The doctor is scheduling an appointment with a pain doctor with looking at doing steriod injections.

Steroid injections will weaken your bones, not something to be repeated, something to keep in mind. You're awfully young to have loss of height.

RE: Hope for some answers
The loss of height first showed up in 2009 on the MRI, now it is a little more involved than 2009.

Once I see the pain doctor he may have another suggestion other than the injection but that is what Dr G is recommending.

Bodybuilder do you know who Dr G. uses for a pain doctor?

I don't know who Dr. G uses, probably someone in house. You could call Dr. G's nurse and ask her. Hopefully it will be someone good, I think I've done a reasonably good job of recommending medical professionals to you. I've heard some concern about that procedure being done at that hospital, something to consider.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention as this is something I will discuss with the Doctor.

Yes you did good when you gave me Dr G's name.

Would that be the KS Spine? Cypress did a good job with the previous injections.

Ks spine is just that, Cypress does a good job across the board. I just don't care for their attitude or the set up. Dr. D loves Cypress, I was pretty happy the last time I was there but not the first.

ahhhhh hell Bummer lets all stop meds for about 3 days and go on a roaring drunk.....we could go chunky dunking in your pool and streak down your lane......all the husbands gotta stay locked in Dennis man cave tho....or maybe just take our meds correctly and do all the rest without the drunk.....
just think of all the fun we could have with my camper and BBs camper in your yard hell even Bronco has a camper we could have a gypsy camp.....I wonder if Broncos wife can be talked into some fun.....

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

Now that sounds like fun.
The drunk part that is, we've used our trailer 3 times and it's working out really well. Not too sure about any vacation this year with the price of gasoline. But we do know that we've never had such good gas mileage pulling any trailer.
