time frame
Im waiting on a slu award case in ny. the case was one of two different cases that were sent up to the board for a decision in january of this year. both cases had loss of use percentages that were agreed on by both my doctor and the ime... so i recieved a proposed decision on one case followed by a award about two weeks later. on my other case i havent recieved no proposed decision yet. so i called and spoke to the person in that hadling my case info . she stated that she is waiting on the carrier. but then she said that both my doctor and the carriers ime gave me both the same loss of use percentages. which i knew!! so she said that it will be forwarded to the board for a proposed decision. so my question is how long does it take for the board to make the decision, and why is one case taken longer than the other. can it be dates of accidents. they were both filled and process with nys comp at the same time but different dates of accident...

RE: time frame
just my opinion but generally it's impossible to explain the inner workings of the comp board process as it applies to any one particular case or submission.
I doubt it has much to do with the details of the case as it does the schedules, staffing, and work loads of the board.
