Cody's Spring Break

I wanted to share a bit about Cody's Spring Break.

Cody is my 13 yr old, he has Autism, PDD-NOS, seizure disorder, asthma, low muscle tone, and hyperthermia.

In December Cody qualified for the MR/DD wavier, caregiver supports to help individuals with disabilities in the community & home.

We are working on social skills, appropiate behavior, physical exercise, & starting on vocational skills with Cody.

Cody has a caregiver who works with him 5 hours a day per Spring Break. This week, they have gone to the YMCA, shopping at the mall, minature golf, bowling, grand opening at Cabelas, the public library, and fishing.

I posted on another thread about Cody's caregiver Ryan, He is nursing student studying in mental health, a medic in the national guards,and a positive role model for Cody. We call him Cody's big brother. Interesting Cody has had few melt downs this week.
