;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: Soldier is on his way home
I find this very sad, Our hearts go out to the family and our prayers..

And at the same time, confused, disturbed, is truley it has me peod.. Why in the heck does this family have to struggle to raise enough money to get him home... I thought uncle sam took care of our service men/women, this is true fact on how our gov shows appreciation.......

RE: Soldier is on his way home
it is what it is Bronco....He is at a hospital that is treating his jury but now he wants to treat his"heart" that isnt covered just as it wouldnt be in any other jobs insurance. But if you will take the time to read her caring bridge journal you will see the military covered so much more that a civilian job would have when it came to her expences. He wasnt injured on the job and yet he will be given all the military has to offer in the way of medical he wont pay a cent for his care. And after he is gone the military will continue to take care of her.She will continue to get 1/2 his pay for as long as she doesnt remarry.she will get all the benifits of a military wife till she remarries. If he would have stayed at the hospital till death they would have shipped his body home with full military honors....it hurts to think of him dying so far from home but Kathy will tell you she is from a small town there isnt a hospital there that could treat his cancer.....he was were he needed to be....he is going home to die....May God make it a peaceful one

RE: Soldier is on his way home
The patriot riders were contacted to be present at Hal's home comming. The family declined requesting a quiet home comming.

The riders are a group of men & women who honor the military by their presence and provide escort by their motor cycles. They stand guard at military funerals, military home commings, and return of deployed military troops.

I just read an update in the cambridge journal entered at 12:01 am saying that Hal made it home.

RE: Soldier is on his way home
What can one say, except sending prayers to our Lord for Hal, his wife Pamela and their family. Hal is definitely the living, breathing example of an American hero, in both his battle with cancer and his choice to serve his country in the Armed Forces.

I am so glad, though saddened for the reason for this last trip home, that he is at home with all his loved ones surrounding him, giving and gaining comfort from one another in these final days of his life. Definitely a role model for today's younger generations.
