Want to take charge of my recovery

Want to take charge of my recovery
I live in Oklahoma and need help with a question.
I was injured at work about a year and a half ago. First they said nothing was wrong, but 9mos later had surgery on my neck. I have been treated by the doctor that is working for WC from the beginning and the attorney I hired has dropped the ball several times. Found out last week that the attorney thought I had already been seen by “their” doctor so when he found it I was not even told I should have been seen by theirs along with the one WC has been sending me to. The attorney is going to set up appointment for me to see theirs shortly. In the meantime, the Dr for WC that did the surgery on my neck saw me in early Jan (3mos checkup post surgery) ordered 12 PT visits and wanted me to return in about a month. Problem is WC just approved my PT two weeks ago and I feel I need to finish going to this round before I return to the doctor. I can’t get in touch with my attorney (nothing knew)
To let him know I plan on waiting before seeing the doctor, but WC just called informing me that they have my appointment set for Feb. 20. I’ve done everything the WC doctor & WC and all along they has dragged their feet to the point that I feel I need to be forceful in my recoverery and not let them tell me how I feel or what I’m capable of. So I guess my question is can I tell the WC I’m will see the doctor only after I finish my PT?

RE: Want to take charge of my recovery
yes, you can tell them that.
they will probably tell you they will stop your disability and will restart it once they have confirmed that you have seen their doctor.
