Ever since 2008 I never recieved a 1099 from the wc ins company. Today there was a 1099 from ins company stating $2003,00 for for health and medical payments... My attorney says there must have been a screw up and wants us to see a specific person to do our taxes.... Has anyone here ever had this happen,,,,,?

Bronco I have never received a 1099 from wc, and I have never claimed wc income on my taxes, guess I would be confused why u got a 1099. What was the money that u received showing on the 1099 for, is it for temporary total payments or do u know ??? as ttp are not taxable.

It does not state weather ttd or ppd, but does state this was for medical and health care payments... It has me stumped, I had collected ttd for the first year and then returned to work.. While working I collected ppd paments for my hand and shoulder until 12,000 was used up and worked 1 1/2 years before i was pulled from work permanately..Never once have I recieved anything like this before... As of last feb I was declared mmi on everything and the ttd payments stopped and went back to ppd for the raiting on my hip.. My lawer said taxes is not his specialty, but told me who to go to and he would clerify any question he might have....

Our tax guy said the ins must have hired a bunch of green horns... After him calling the ins company thier answering message stated if this call is about a misc 1099, were are correcting the mistakes...

Even though the wife makes good money, uncle sam tells us to take so much out for milage and caused our profits to go down. Which made our return less this year....Its still enough to make 2 house payments so all is good...........
