I agrree bummer, that was devastaion... They were airing some of the footage on our local news channel, i feel so bad for the people that got hit by them storms..

The snow has stopped completely now, 30 inches in our area.. I paid a neighbor $75 to plow us out and because there are no snow fences up, the drifts were 5 ft tall.. So needless to say it wasnt done good enough.. We have to hire a front end loader at $115 an hour to finnish it..

The plan was our oldest would graduate this year and once we settle we were headed south.. Now that dominick is here its put on hold for now, but is still talked about daily.. We like small quiet towns, privacy a must Im a country boy.. We actually have a appoinment with our attorney and his vocational aide tommorow.. We are trying for total disability and they have been working on my loss of earning capacity. I praying he will have a court date set, we are going on the almost 5 years and I just want it behind us.. I just hope the housing market turns around by the time we settle, we will need to sell our house..

I have been in this system for 11 years now. I gave the attorney a dollar amount I would settle for back at the end of November, we have not heard a word from their attorney, since he gave them a number. I think tomorrow I will call the attorney and have him file my application for permenant total disability. I am loosing money each month since the temp total stopped. I am like you Bronco if they ever settel we are going to sale our house and move south to a beach, all of that has been put on hold. I will need to sale my house aslo but I do not want to put it on the market untill a settlement is reached. Maybe if my attorney files the Perm Total App then maybe just maybe the settlement talks might start up. But I do believe I will call my Attorney tomorrow and tell him to start the fileing of my application. My part of it is completed I filled it out last fall and the attorney has it in his office.. So all he really has to do is file it with the bureau. Maybe this will get them off their tales and start things rolling,,, 11 years is a long time in this crap.

It just amazes me with all the delays and games that puts families in ruins.. I'm complaining of just 5 years, and you are at 11 years. We wont beable to hold out that long, our house is worth about $20,000 less then what we owe on it because of the economy.. If I knew we could come out ahead by even 10,000 I would sell and downsize.. We also love the beach, but I think its to darn expensive.. I need a small but quiet town atleast 800 miles south from here where the winters dont last 5 months.. I know our oldest will never move south for he is a winter person, but that will change as he gets older...

We finally have a heat wave comming through.. We had 40's yesterday with sun and they figure it melted 2 inches.. This weekend going to hit upper 50's with rain and next week 50's.....bye bye snow.......

It just is down right nasty,,period...... Our last storm was a biggy and havent seen that much in a single storm since 1962.. Were used to getting snow almost every day along with an occasional storm.. I think our average is about 5 to 7 ft and if we get all this rain that is comming there will be some nasty flooding.. We will be safe at our house but a mile down will be flooded.....

Bronco I use to live in Washington state in the valley at the edge of the mountains.

We always liked to see the snow but when the rain followed there was lots of flooding.
I worked at a seafood resturant on the edge of the river, the flooding always closed the resturants doors with a mess to cleanup that followed.

Perfect day here, with doors and windows open to air out the closed up stench of winter. 75 degrees and average breeze of 19 mph out of the s sw gusting up to 36mph.

How ever, that is all to change after dark this evening. Going to start chanting rain rain go away. Every day there after for the next 5 days we have a chance of some type of precip with lower temps. Anywhere from 20 to 70% chances. Temps ranging from highs in low 40 to upper 60's and lows from low 30 to high 40's. Gonna be fun playing on the merry go round of pain through the weekend, especially since I am going to have family coming to visit through it all. Time to bite the bullet and smile through the pain.
