MSA
I settled back in May of 2011. I had to have an MSA cause of the severity of the injury and cause of the settlement. I spoke with the cms people today and they said it was finished and now sent to the regional office. When I asked what that meant they couldnt really tell me much. All they said was they recommended an amount of my future care and it is up to the regional office. Does anyone know anything about this. How long will it take to hear something back from the regional office?

RE: MSA
there is no time limit.
the comp carrier may believe it is too high and decide not to settle.
there are still too many unknowns.

RE: MSA
I just heard back from the regional offices and they said it is approved but not for the amount the insurance company put in. The insurance company put in an amount of 250,000 and medicare wants 356,000. That is over 100,000 more than they figured. I think they will now void the settlement cause of how much more they are asking. Not sure what happens next.

if they chose not to buy out your claim then they continue to provide benefits as before.
