knee injury
I have been at my job for approximately 10 years and have wore the cartilage in my knee out. So far I have had the clean it surgery and then euflexxa injections. I have been off work since Sep 11. The doctor said the only way.to fix it is total l.ee replacement. At my age I will probably need another being that the knee replacements are only good for 12 to 20 years. What should I do as far as settling.

RE: knee injury
depends on what you want. some want treatment; some want $$; some want revenge; some want to keep their job; some want disability retirement; some want their day in court; etc.
each state has it's own rules; without knowing yours it difficult to say.

you can contact an atty specializing in worker's comp in your state. they know the rules and may be able to help depending on your goal.
you can also read more posts on this board.
there is a good search feature and you may find that your question has already been answered.

P.S. In general if you are having a total knee done, settlement should come afterwards -not before.
