P&S question?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hello i just wanted to know if i have to contact my employer after i become P&S? The last time i spoke to my manager she told me that i cant come back until im 100% ready to work and that i need to go back to company doctor so i can return to work. My lawyer said for me to not call them anymore so im not sure how to tell my employer that im P&S if i have to tell them. thanks Liz from los angeles

I am from the state of N.Y., can you tell me what p&s stands for.

the employer/carrier is required to send a notice of modified work offer to you after you are Permanent & Stationary. you have 30 days to respond to their offer.
failure to offer modified work increases your permanent disability rate by 15%

under federal ADA laws you have the right to an interactive discussion with your employer on reasonable accommodation.

P&S stands for permanent and stationary.

no the law doesn't require or rely on you to inform the employer/carrier.
the physician is required to send their report to the carrier.
