Thank God almighty, free at last!!!

I am so sure that many of you will understand my jubilation in finally after 23 days short of THREE years that I am FREE OF METAL IN MY MOUTH!!! After 3 delays due to one very stubborn tooth the lower braces FINALLY came off this morning. No more metal mouth, no more special cleaning, the upper braces have been off since October. Sooooo glad it's over.

Now if only I could eat properly.

I am so happy for you BB.I had perfect Teeth until that last baby not even a cavity....Then bam one after another needed a filling or pulling about 10 years ago I got a full upper plate and a partial lower plate.Cant believe one baby could do so much damage...

Jayne I hope I have my teeth to the end. I had braces as a teen but moved to Africa and the dentist didn't know what he was doing. So everything went back to where they were originally and got worse. It was to the point that I had 4 crowns done on the lower teeth because of the pressure of the overbite on the lower teeth. If I ever lost my teeth due to an infection or something they'd never be able to fit them in my mouth. Girl I couldn't even get a banana between my upper and lower teeth the gap was so small.

So $6800. for braces, another $1700. for jaw surgery and I'm hopefully almost done. Right now the jaws and teeth and sore due to all the pictures taken after my braces came off. I have to have a special retainer made for my lower teeth because of the 4 crowns.

My daughter has always had bad teeth and we made sure she got her teeth cleaned 3 times a year. Since she left our home 7+ years ago she's had 3 kids and hasn't seen a dentist. So I imagine by the time she's 30 she'll have no teeth.
