Update on Schawn Driver
He was just at my house a few minutes ago delivering punkin pie for Thanksgiving, he also gave me an update on his work comp case.

He was sent for an IME to my former treating wc doctor. But before he went to the appointment he hired an attorney.

The doctor told him, "I do not know how you are walking." He is not at MMI and is now receiving medical treatment for his injuries. His first MRI of the lumbar will be done tomorrow. He has already had one of the shoulders.

Schawn Man was in a motor vehicle accident trying to avoid a deer, due to his injuries he spent 12 day in the trauma center and was off work for 3 months.

The Schawn Company must really like this guy, they have provided him a worker to drive the truck, do the lifting, stock & unstock the truck. The Schawn Man goes into coustomer's homes and takes orders.

Just thought I would share.

That's unusual for Schwan's around here, the guy that comes to our town gripes all the time about his management. (The Valley Center group). Your friend must have some dirt on Schwan's for them to treat him so well. I'm glad he's getting treatment, hope it continues.

RE: Update on Schawn Driver
I am suprised he is receivng treatment at all as his treating doctor is the one who injured my neck while doing a test, this doctor like to refuse treatment, and yes I told Schawn Man about this.

Schawn Man told me while he was off work after the accident the company went thru several substituites, all where fired by the company. In my opinion the ones that came to my home were all idots!

The company sales for his route were greatly reduced while Schawn Man was in the hospital recovering, he said that is why the company is providing work accomodations in the way of a helper/driver to work the routes he drives, (sales are much higher when he is working)

They may just have a very effective return to work program as well.

RE: Update on Schawn Driver
a large factor maybe that all costs including substitute drives and helpers will likely be reimbursed to the company/carrier by the third party liability carrier. I doubt they'll be out very many $$ by the time the cases are closed.

some manager clearly sees the big picture and will retain a good employee with little or no cost to company and earn some good PR along the way.
