my P&S money is done

hi
my p&s money has been over for about 2 month now. i went to a qme in july the doctor said i was 100% good to go back to work but my treating doctor said no and gave me restriction that i cant use my left arm which is the shoulder i had surgery on.. so in October my attorney changed my treating doctor and he said i can go back to work but with 40ib restrictions. i took the note to my employers but they never offered me a job. i called my employer last week and they said they had nothing for me. i told my attorney and she said she was goin to call the defendant attorney but still havent heard back.. its been about 2 months since i havent received any income. now that my employers say they have nothing for me can i apply for unemployment or what can i do?

after having a qme does that mean my case is almost done?

yeah i that what i was thinking. but i asked my attorneys assistant since my attorney was busy and she said no because im have not been laid off but if my employers says they have no work for isnt that the same thing lol but im goin to call the unemployment and ask if i qualify..
