Praying for my husband's job
Hawker aircraft will layoff today upwards of 1000 people, that's what has been going down the wire. My husband works in Experimental machining, CNC operator there 21 yrs, he's never, ever been laid off. Experimental is their best machining shop, they do all re-do parts, special orders, things that need to be done now. They are the highest paid of any hourly worker but I fear for his job.
Hawker is heading more and more into Mexico for work. But every week my husband re-works parts ruined in Mexico or parts that Mexico just can't seem to make no matter what the training. Asking for prayers for his job, thanks. Bodybuilder1958 |

RE: Praying for my husband's job
you got them BB I fear daily for our country and the jobs we have left...we are slowly being sold down the river for 30 pieces of silver
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: Praying for my husband's job
I was wondering about his job when I listened to the news, prayers are bing said.
My father worked for this company for almost 50 years, but things were ran differently back then. |

Well my husband is still there, they actually had a meeting and said that his department might grow due to the poor work being done in Mexico. Apparently Hawker laid off nearly 200 people there, all hourly workers. My husband's crew chief is a real A-hole, he'll step on anybody to get ahead and he doesn't care who he hurts. He's had it in for the manager of their department, so far this yr he's tried 3 times to get the guy fired. A guy I've never met but someone who's just trying to provide for his family just like the other workers. I imagine there was alot of praying going on today at Hawker, prayers for those going back out the door and a prayer of thanks that some still have their job |
