date i live in nj in 2007 i had to take a dissability retirement pention due to degeneritive bone disiese i had surgury to my left shoulder in 07 but it failed, now i need two total shoulder replacements but im to heavy right now to have the sugery. i recieve injections of cortazone in both arms every 2 1/2 months and been on oxtcotin and morphin since 07. iv been on social security since 09 know the layer said that i have a excellent chance of going into this fund were i will recieve about 405 dollors a week for life can somebody explain to me how this is done and the lawyer told me that they will have to pay for my med bills and sugerys any help would be appreceated

are you talking about something other then workers compensation?
are you talking about a type of settlement?
maybe it's a special program from your employer or union?

a second injury fund pays benefits when a worker with a prior injury or condition has a second injury and the combined disabilities leave them severely disabled and unable to work.
