I am here to hopefully offer you encouragement.
My case settled at the MSC (Mandatory Settlement Conference)
There was some negotiating, but that was expected. Rather uneventful.
What I wanted as a settlement was nothing more/nothing less, than which was legally mandated.
In order to do so, remember that you must hold the I/C accountable to the law/statutes in your State.
I settled with a “combination” Stipulation with Medical Award, and C & R.
Negotiated issues like TTD, Mileage, Medical Co-pays were paid out in a lump sum.
PD will be paid out at the rate of $230 per week, until all is paid.
Rating was not disputed. Pysical Injury 64%, Psyche 16% after 40% apportionment to Physical Injury.
Medical will be left open to continue with routine medications, dr. visits, necessary procedures which all continue to be subject to U/R.
Attorney fees were all paid by I/C, as they filed the applications of adjudication prior to my hiring an attorney.
A weight was lifted by ending the litigation.
And, what an education was obtained by being an injured worker. Such a lonely place.

Mentally/emotionally you seem in a much better place then you were a couple yrs ago.

I settled earlier this years and found settling very much helped in reducing the stress level.

I am so happy for you CC..it is a long hard road....be careful Darlin the depression bouts are not over at least they havent been for me....its this darn responabilty gene I was born with you know the one to want to go to work each day for your paycheck.....
